Сколько было монархий в Древнем Израиле? Постановка проблемы

Данная статья предлагает краткий обзор существующих точек зрения по вопросу о возникновении государства в Древнем Израиле. Ключевой вопрос – существовала ли некогда единая монархия, столицей которой был Иерусалим и в которую входили территории Иудеи и Самарии? При скудности археологического материала решение этого вопроса зависит от того, как относиться к историчности библейских повествований о Сауле, Давиде и Соломоне. Одни исследователи видят в этих царях мифологических, а другие – исторических персонажей. Реконструкция древней истории не бывает идеологически стерильной, и в данном случае ключевой идеологией оказывается яхвизм – религиозное движение, которое в своем развитии прошло через разные стадии. В своем изложении исторических событий Девторономист (автор Книг Царств, притом, вероятно, коллективный) явно придерживался своей версии яхвизма.
