Abstract
This literature review presents data on the impact of radiation on the formation of suicidal behavior of the population. The main content of the study is an analysis of the impact of ionizing radiation on the mental health of people living in the area near the former Semipalatinsk nuclear test site, liquidators and the population near the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, affected by the atomic explosion in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the consequences of the accident in Fukushima. The possible effects of natural radiation on the suicidal behavior of the population. It is shown that this topic has been little studied and requires interdisciplinary research.
