GESTATIONAL DIABETIC SUGAR AND ITS IMPACT ON THE WOMAN'S FURTHER LIFE

KHASSENOVA A. A., IDRISOV A. S., LATYPOVA N. A.

Abstract

One of the most common problems during pregnancy among endocrine pathologies is hyperglycemia. According to the International Diabetic Federation, every sixth newborn in the world (16.8 %) is born in a woman with hyperglycemia during pregnancy. Only 16 % of these cases occur in type 1 and type 2 diabetes, while most cases are gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) [1].
Women with a history of GDM are at risk of developing diabetes mellitus (DM) for life. The risk of developing DM in women of this group to 60 % [2]. The article reflects the problems of carbohydrate disorders in women after childbirth who have undergone GDM during pregnancy. A review of studies of risk factors for DM in women with history of GDM is presented.
