Abstract

This review raises the topic of irrational use of antibiotics and rapidly growing antibiotic resistance, which is relevant not only for the further development of modern medicine, but also affects the interests of humanity as a whole and every inhabitant of the Earth. Data on the almost universal irrational use of antibiotics among the population of different countries are presented.
