EMOTIONAL BURNOUT AS A FACTOR OF REDUCING THE WORKING CAPACITY OF HEALTH CARE SPECIALISTS
ELEPBERGEN A. A., MOLDAGASIMOVA A. B., TARKINSKY E. V.
Abstract
Emotional burnout (EV) of medical professionals is a condition that can adversely affect the effectiveness of modern medicine. At the moment, it is believed that EV is reflected in three areas: emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and a decrease in self-esteem. The problem of EV concerns not only the health of doctors, but the entire health system as a whole. New data are emerging on the mental health of doctors and the consequences that the health system faces as a result of burnout. Today, more than 50 % of healthcare workers have symptoms of burnout. This review article reflects the causes leading to EV, its effect on doctors, as well as measures to reduce this syndrome.
