Аннотация

Статья посвящена истории борьбы подразделений армии Соединенных Штатов против подземных баз Народных Вооруженных сил Освобождения (НВСО) и Вьетнамской Народной Армии (ВНА) в ходе интервенции США в Индокитае 1964-1973 гг. Работа построена с привлечением мемуаров - переводов воспоминаний американских и австралийских участников боевых действий в Южном Вьетнаме, офицеров, сержантов и солдат армии США, бойцов Народных Вооруженных Сил Освобождения. Указанные материалы размещены в монографиях американских и австралийских исследователей индокитайского конфликта 1960-1970-х гг. В локальных конфликтах второй половины ХХ-XXI вв. одним из наиболее распространенных приемов ведения партизанской войны стало создание подземных галерей не только в оборонительных, но и в наступательных целях, а также с целью проведения диверсионных операций. Подземные структуры широко использовались воюющими сторонами в войнах в Корее, Афганистане, на Ближнем Востоке. Одним из примеров эффективного применения тактики подземной войны является масштабный вооруженный конфликт в Индокитае. В этой войне Народные Вооруженные Силы Освобождения (НВСО) и Вьетнамская Народная Армия (ВНА) успешно применяли подземные базы и туннели. Одновременно актуальность приобрела разработка новых приемов борьбы с туннельными комплексами партизан. Представляемая публикация об особой вооруженной борьбе в уезде Ку Чи (провинция Тэй Нинь, Южный Вьетнам) в период военной интервенции США в Индокитае. В 1965-1972 гг. американские и австралийские войска были вынуждены сражаться с отрядами НВСО-ВНА, которые базировались в туннельных комплексах. Несмотря на техническое превосходство американских войск, подземные базы продолжали служить основной почвой для партизанских рейдов. Данная статья посвящена изучению технологий обнаружения и уничтожения туннельных комплексов НВСО-ВНА в ходе вьетнамской войны. Особое внимание уделено автором анализу тактических приемов, технических приспособлений, использовавшихся подразделениями армии США для поиска и ликвидации партизанских туннелей. Боевые действия в Ку Чи были борьбой между формированиями НВСО, ВНА и особыми отрядами американских пехотинцев, саперов, разведчиков. Их называли «туннельными крысами» - специальные подземные спецназовцы, отобранные за малый рост и отсутствие каустрофобии. Вооруженные только ножами и пистолетами, они вели борьбу со снайперами, минами, ловушками и змеями. В публикации рассматриваются условия, в которых приходилось действовать «туннельным крысам». В статье также представлен анализ тактических приемов «туннельных крыс», их снаряжения и оружия.

Abstract

The article is devoted to the history of units of American Army against underground bases of the People’s Liberation Armed Forces (PLAF) during the american intervention in Indochina 1964-1975. The work is built with the assistance of a memoir - translated memories of combatants in Indochina, soldiers and commanders of Army of USA and the People’s Liberation Armed Forces (PLAF). The materials housed in the monographs of American and Australian researchers of the Indochina conflict, 1960-1970-s. In local military conflicts of the second half of XX-XXI centuries one of the most common types of guerrilla warfare became the construction and use of underground galleries not only for defensive but also offensive purposes as well as for the purpose of carrying out sabotage operations. Underground structures were widely used by the belligerents in the wars in Korea, Afghanistan, the Middle East. One example of effective application of tactics of the underground war is a large scale military conflict in Indochina. In this war PLAF and PAVN successfully used underground bases and tunnels. Simultaneously relevance acquired development of new methods of fight with tunnel complexes of guerrillas. Thе article is about specifical fighting in the district Cu Chi (province Tay Ninh, South Vietnam) during the American intervention in Indochina. The American and Australian troops were forced to fight against PLAF-PAVN who were based in tunnel complexes. Despite the technical excellence of American troops during 1965-1967s, underground bases again served as staging ground for guerrilla raids. This article is devoted to the examination of the technology of detection and destruction of tunnel complexes of PLAF-PAVN developed by American scientists during Vietnam war. Special attention is given by the author to the analysis of tactical receptions, technical devices used by the units American and Australian armies against underground bases. The battle in the tunnels of Cu Chi was fought between units of PLAF, PAVN and special teams of US infantrymen, scouts, sappers. They called Tunnel Rats - special underground commandos chosen for their small stature and lack of claustrophobia. Armed only with knives and pistols, they fought against enemy snipers, booby traps, mines and snakes. The article describes the conditions in which Tunnel Rats had to fight. The article also presents an analysisof methods of Tunnel Rats, their equipment and weaponry.
